ZOO!
Spent a day at the Fort Wayne zoo with my sister this week….here are some of my favorite shots:
Randomness
Some random photos.
Tulips!
Random thoughts
“The ground beneath is nothing more than one point of view”
That lyric comes to mind when I look at this picture. (Can you name the song?)
Spring is here, and that means flip-flops. 🙂
And there’s something in the spring air that makes my dogs goofy.
I hope I’m not boring you with more pictures of my dogs. It needs to get nicer outside so I can get out and take photos of something other than them…
Wine Time
First, happy daylight savings time!
Even though we lost an hour last night and I may be a little sleepy because of it, we are closer to spring and that makes me very happy. I’ve never been more ready for spring!
And I woke up Saturday morning and the sun was so beautiful shining in my kitchen window. I had to take advantage of it and saw how my wine bottles we so colorful in the sun. So here’s what I got…
Fun with Photoshop
Trying different effects with a photo of a tiki torch in my backyard…
Sometimes the coolest things are right in your backyard.
My dogs
My husband and I have 2 dogs, Maya – a lab and Tinker – a cockapoo (we think). Here are a few of my favorite shots of them. It’s hard to get a good photo of Tinker because she’s small and therefore energetic. But the first picture I took with my new camera turned out to be the best one of her.
A couple shots of Maya:
In this one, they are looking out the front door and watching the squirrels. They will do this for hours on end….kind of funny.
Cowabunga
Did I even spell that right?
I’ve been looking at our pictures from Kauai in Hawaii (since they are such a contrast from looking out the window here)…and of course, since it’s the weekend and I have extra time to kill, I played around with them on Photoshop. These are fun to do, with all of the colors in them. So much different than the snow pictures I’ve been working on lately! I find that the “Saturated Slide Film Effect” makes them look the best. It gives the colors a deeper look. Here’s some that I did today. I have over 500 pictures from that vacation, so you’ll see more in the future!
Here’s one from the Na Pali coast. The view is from 5000 feet up. Amazing, huh? And this picture doesn’t even do it justice:
This is the Kilauea Lighthouse:
This is a sunrise at the beach at our hotel:
I think they called this Secret Falls. We took kayaks down the Wailua River, then hiked a mile into the jungle. Fun!
And something different…someone gave this pedestrian sign a little more character:
